Doing Business in Signal Hill The City of Signal Hill requires everyone doing business in the City to have a valid Business License. The Business License Application is for businesses located in the City who are not Contractors; the Contractor application is for businesses located either within the City or in another City but doing business as a Contractor (general, building, electrical, etc.) in Signal Hill. If your business is being run out of your home, you will need to complete the Home Occupation form as well as the standard business license form. There is also an application for an alarm permit for businesses or residences. All forms can be filled out online, printed out and either mailed or hand-delivered to City Hall.
