BENEFIT INFORMATION
All classified and management employees enjoy the following benefits:
- 96 vacation hours per year
- 10 paid holidays per year
- 32 floating/personal holiday hours per year
- Employees accrue 96 hours of sick leave per year
- Sick leave buy back program available
- City paid participation in California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) 2% @ 55 formula
- Choice of health insurance plans offered through CalPERS with City contributions toward premium
- One-half of any monies remaining after employee has enrolled in health coverage may be used to purchase optional benefits or may be placed in employee's Deferred Compensation account

- 63 hours of executive leave per year
- Life insurance equivalent to 3 times annual salary up to a maximum of $300,000.

Sworn Public Safety employees receive the following benefits:
- 96 vacation hours per year
- 11 paid holidays per year
- 28 floating/personal holiday hours per year
- Employees accrue 96 hours of sick leave per year
- Sick leave buy back program available
- City paid participation in California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) 3% @ 50 formula
- Choice of health insurance plans offered through CalPERS with the City contributions toward premium
- One-half of any monies remaining after employee has enrolled in health coverage may be used to purchase optional benefits or may be placed in employee's Deferred Compensation account.
- Delta Dental insurance with the City contributing $60 per month per employee to a "pool" which is used to pay the monthly premiums.
- Vision insurance - employee's premium is fully paid by the City.
- Annual uniform allowance ranging from $800 - $925
- Education Incentive Pay - AA degree $175/mo., BA degree $225/mo., MA degree $275/mo.
- Special assignment pay is available
- Employees who are eligible to retire and meet the established requirements will be eligible to receive retiree health insurance
