Fire Protection & Hazardous Materials
Applicants are responsible for submitting plans to the Los Angeles County Fire Department for plan check approval. Please visit their website at http://www.fire.lacounty.gov

Projects involving hazardous materials may also be reviewed by the Fire Department at alternative locations. Please call in advance or visit the department's website to determine if your project requires special review.
Projects that require a new connection to the public sewer must pay a sewer connection fee to the Los Angeles County Sanitation District

New or remodeled restaurants, proposed grease traps, and grease interceptors in food preparation areas, as well as swimming pools for multi-unit residential buildings, must have plans checked by the Los Angeles County Health Department
