Pay My Utility Bill

There are several ways to pay your Signal Hill water bill.

When making a payment using either check or money order, please make payable to: THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL. Remember to write your account number**, in its entirety, on the face of the check. Also remember to enclose the remittance stub attached to your water bill. Finally, please do not use staples, paperclips, or any other form of adhesive when submitting payment.

IN PERSON: You may come into City Hall (located at the above address) during regular business hours Monday-Thursday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. We accept cash, check, or money order.

DROPBOX: If you are unable to come into City Hall during regular business hours, use the afterhours drop box located to the right of the main entrance double doors. The drop box is checked every morning. Accepted forms of payment are check or money order.

AUTOMATIC BILL PAYMENT (ACH): With this program, the City of Signal Hill will automatically withdraw your monthly bill from your checking account. A completed application and voided check is all that is required. ACH payments typically take 30 days to go into effect. The City does not charge a fee for this service. However, your banking institution may charge a fee. You should check with your bank if you have any questions. You may come in and request an application, or call the Water Department at (562) 989-7315 to request one via mail, or print a copy of this automatic payment form and mail the completed and signed form with a voided check to the address noted above.

BANK/BILL PAY: You may also schedule payments with your banking institution. Please be sure to use your correct and entire Signal Hill water account number** when entering your bill pay transaction. This can be found on your most recent Signal Hill water statement.

**All Signal Hill water account numbers have been recently updated. If you are using Bank/Bill Pay, it is especially important to make sure you are using the correct account number. Failure to do so could cause your payment to be applied to the wrong account. Your SH water account number should not end in 00.
