Where can I bring my Household Hazardous and Electronic Waste?

Household hazardous and electronic waste can be disposed of in Signal Hill. The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center serves for the proper disposal of harmful waste products and household toxic items including e-waste, medicines, batteries, used motor oil, paints and other chemicals. The program is held on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and is located at California Avenue and 28th Street.

Additionally, household hazardous and electronic wastes can be disposed of by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works located at:

EDCO Transfer and Recycling Station

Signal Hill Disposal (EDCO) has developed the Recycling and Transfer Station, an approximately 143,000-square-foot distressed property at the northwest corner of Patterson and California. The facility assists the City of Signal Hill and surrounding communities in achieving evolving state-mandated recycling goals. 

Used Motor Oil and Oil Filter Collection Program

A free used motor oil and filter collection program has now been established at
EDCO Recycling & Transfer, 2755 California Avenue in Signal Hill. Through this
program, residents of the region now have a safe and more environmentally
friendly option for disposing of their used motor oil and oil filters.
