VR (Virtual Reality) for Seniors 

Wednesday, February 20, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Seniors can experience an alter universe using virtual reality technology. This program features a selection of adventure, travel and action games for guests to enjoy. Registration is required for adults 55+.

African American History Month Celebration

Come celebrate African-American history and heritage in Signal Hill. The whole community is encouraged to be part of this fun, family gala. Registration is not required.

Anime Club

Mondays: February 25, March 18, April 15 and May 20.
4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Anime is Japanese hand-drawn or computer animation. Outside Japan, anime refers specifically to animation characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes. We'll watch anime, discuss manga, play games and have fun. Free and open to ages 12+. Register at the Library or call 562-989-7323.

The Friends of the Signal Hill Library (FOSHL) receives donations of quality, gently used books, DVDs and Audio Books on Tape which they re-sell at low prices. To get ready for the opening of the new library opening, the Spring Blowout Book Sale will offer all the books you can fit in one bag for $5. Note: FOSHL will provide the bag. Held on the Signal Hill Library Patio, 1780 E Hill St (located behind the basketball courts and playground).
