City Council

Hybrid Meeting Format

City Council meetings are currently being conducted using a hybrid meeting format in which members of the public may physically attend the meeting or virtually participate by audio and/or video. Those who wish to view meetings and/or participate can watch live online or on television (see below). There will be an option to access a teleconference line and/or a virtual meeting platform. Access information will be shared prior to each meeting in the official Meeting Notice and in the Agenda for that particular meeting. Members of the public may also email public comments to  CityClerk@cityofsignalhill.org or may call 562-989-7300. Comments must be submitted before 5:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

  • Second and fourth Tuesday of every month

City Council Members are elected officers identified in Government Code Section 87200 and file statements of economic interests with the City Clerk’s office. Copies of statements of economic interests filed by the above elected officers may be obtained by visiting the offices of the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) or the City Clerk. The physical address of the FPPC is 428 J Street, Suite 620, Sacramento, California 95814. The physical address of the City Clerk’s office is 2175 Cherry Avenue, Signal Hill, California 90755. Statements of economic interests for some state and local government agency elected officers may be available in electronic format on the FPPC’s website.

Council Compensation

City Council Members are compensated $722.18 per month or $8,666.16 per year.
