[ARCHIVED] Free Shredding and E-Waste Collection Event

On Saturday, June 23rd, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon, Signal Hill Waste and Recycling Services (EDCO) will be hosting a free shredding and e-waste collection event, for residential customers only, at their new Recycling and Transfer Station located at 2755 California Avenue, just north of Willow Street.

The collection event will allow residents to bring electronic or “e-waste” items for safe and free disposal. In addition, residential customers may bring up to 3 banker boxes or equivalent for free shredding purposes. In addition, EDCO will provide free mulch upon request.

EDCO’s Recycling and Transfer Station recently started operations and has been processing solid waste and recyclables for several weeks. For more information about the free shredding and e-waste collection event or the new facility, please contact EDCO at (562) 597-0608 or the City’s Public Works Department at (562) 989 – 7355.
