Southern California Edison: Rate Increase Request

Rate Increase Public Participation Hearings

Southern California Edison is requesting to increase rates for 2021 through 2023. If this request is approved by the California Public Utilities Commission, the average residential monthly electric bill would increase by approximately $14 in 2021, $4 in 2022, and $6 in 2023.

SCE says its reasons for requesting the rate increases include the need to reduce the risk from wildfires to keep the electrical grid safe, reinforce reliability and resiliency in case of an emergency, and improve customer service and communication.

The CPUC is holding remote participation public forums to hear from you about Southern California Edison’s (SCE) rate increase request. Learn more at https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/pph/ .
