During the week of April 25 - 29, Signal Hill residents can set out bulky items at the curb for collection, free of charge. Bulky items include appliances, water heaters, furniture, bicycles, mattresses, green waste, etc. Place your large items next to your trash bins on your scheduled collection day. For those residents in multi-family complexes, please call Signal Hill Disposal at (562) 597-0608 to arrange for a special pick-up.
Please remember that hazardous household waste (HHW) items, such as used oil, paint, chemicals, tires, electronics, etc. are not appropriate for this bulky item collection. For safe disposal of these items and more information, please call Public Works Department at (562) 989-7351.
There is a permanent HHW and Electronic Waste Collection Center at 1400 N. Gaffey Street, San Pedro, CA 90731. Hours of operation are Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information about this and future HHW round-ups contact LA County at 1-800-CLEAN-LA or 1-800-238-0172.
