Family Food Distribution Program
The Family Food Distribution Program delivers one box of fresh groceries on a weekly basis to Signal Hill residents who meet low income qualifications. Extremely low and low income Signal Hill residents are eligible for the program until funding is exhausted. The program operates on a first come, first served basis. Participants must be home during delivery times of 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Groceries will be left on porch to avoid any contact between staff and participants.
Please complete the application, self-certification form (PDF) and attach related documents. Once completed please submit to Community Services Department, 1800 E. Hill Street, Signal Hill, CA 90755. Forms may also be emailed to amancini@cityofsignalhill.org or faxed to 562-989-7393. Applicants must provide current copies of the following information:
- Proof of Signal Hill residency (Current Utility Bill)
- Income certification (W2 for 2019 or two recent paystubs within 60 days)
- Photo ID
Senior Food Distribution Program
The Senior Food Distribution Program delivers groceries on a weekly basis to senior citizens who are 55 years of age and older. Seniors must reside in Signal Hill and meet the program’s income criteria. Extremely low and low income Signal Hill residents ages 55+ are eligible. Participants must be home during delivery times of 11am-1pm on Thursdays. Groceries will be left on porch to avoid contact between staff and participants.
