Robert was sworn in for his first term as Signal Hill Council Member on March 21, 2017. He has been a resident of Signal Hill since 2002. He began his involvement with the City in 2008 when he earned an appointment to the City’s Sustainable City Committee, and has served as the chairperson of the Committee since that time. Wanting to increase his involvement with the City, Robert applied to fill the vacancy of the departing City Clerk and was appointed to the seat by the City Council. Soon after, in March 2015, he was elected to the City Clerk position by the residents of Signal Hill.
Robert obtained a J.D. from Southwestern School of Law, an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, and a B.S. in Chemistry from University of California at Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice law in California and is a registered patent attorney.
Robert is married and has two young children that enjoy living and playing in Signal Hill.
