Financial Resources for  Residents

Programs

It is our goal to help provide residents with access to free or low-cost programs that help families enjoy a high quality of life despite financial stresses. Please contact us at (562) 989-7330 for more information about any of the following programs.

Recreation Scholarship

Don’t let financial challenges get in the way of you or your family members enjoying our many wonderful recreation programs. Signal Hill residents who meet income qualifications may apply for Recreation Scholarship funds by applying through the Parks, Recreation & Library Services (formerly Community Services Department). It’s quick and it’s easy! Stipends of $100 per youth are available each year to those who qualify. These $100 yearly stipends may be used to help pay for youth programs, senior excursions and more. Residents must meet income guidelines and submit an application (PDF). Call (562) 989-7329 for more information.
